marconi/selex personal role radio

After the debacle that was the chinasoft prr me and inch got a pair of genuine issue prr's. we gave these a full field test today and we were very happy with the results. before i give figures a standard pmr does have a greater range and they are cheaper but they dont have the audio quality these radios have.
The selex advertising states a line of sight range at 500 meters and an ability to transmit through 3 storys of a house (about 3 feet of brick/concrete). our range test gave a line of sight range of 800 meters this was measures with a gps and confirmed by pacing out.
we also mangae to transmit through about 1 meter of sandstone and several feet of rock and soil with no problems.
as a squad level radio the performance of these radios is amazing it was like having a minature inch sitting next to my ear talking away. i recommend these radios for anyone wanting secure clear reliable squad communication and the wireless ptt is a god send.

no static or misunderstood words
completly secure comunication
it's as crystal clear at 800m as it is at 10m (no build up of static noise as range increases)
wireless push to talk is brilliant, no more ratching around for the ptt or pissing around with very vunerable cables. you can be storming a building and having a conversation at the same time as your hands never leave your rifle

we could maybe do with a get together so you can see (or hear) for yourself

found this inch it tells you what the pins/wiring on a clansman ptt rig is it should also match the output from the dual ptt. so just need the pin configurations from the pmr or other radios and i should be able to knock up an adaptor quite easily.
